Saved articles and preferences

Saved articles, reading progress, text size, and your light or dark appearance are stored in your browser on this device. They are not synced to an account. You can clear your saved articles and progress from the Saved page, or remove all preferences by clearing this site’s browser data.

Optional analytics

When configured, Google Analytics helps us understand visits, reading engagement, and how readers discover another article. It only loads after you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not affect reading. Advertising signals and personalisation are disabled.

Events contain article identifiers and interaction types. We do not include email addresses or the words you type into search. Google may process technical information such as browser and device information and network addresses to provide its analytics service. Analytics measure consenting visitors only.

You can change your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics events and removes the analytics cookies accessible to this site. It does not erase previously processed reports.

Search and website delivery

Search queries are sent to the Undercurrent server to find matching published articles. Vercel delivers the website and Supabase stores publication data. These services may process request and security logs. Google Fonts provides the typefaces used by the site.

Email subscriptions

This version of the site does not collect new newsletter subscriptions or send newsletters. Previously submitted subscription records have not been deleted by this redesign.
